Answers receivedYou have just told a company you have not worked with before where your product actually sits: whether the firmware sources are in your hands, who holds the keys that sign a release, and what would happen the day you need a change and your supplier is not available. What you sent is now on an engineer's desk.
What comes back is a written evaluation of your situation, signed by the person who read it, and a direct answer on whether we are the right people to help. Not everyone who completes this check receives a proposal to work together. That part is deliberate, and it is worth explaining why.
Within 24 working hours
One of our engineers reads your answers against the devices we build and maintain every week. It is the same person who would run the work, reading your case before anyone quotes anything, and writing the evaluation in their own words.
/ 01 / The reading
Which of the twelve items are in your hands today, which sit with your supplier, and which ones nobody in your company has ever had to open.
/ 02 / The judgement
Taking the project in house fits a specific set of conditions. The evaluation says which ones your case meets today, which it does not yet, and what would move it.
/ 03 / The answer
If we can make a difference you can measure, the evaluation says how and proposes the next step. If we cannot, it says that instead, and points at what would actually help.
Three possible answers
The current arrangement with your supplier is serving you at this stage, and moving now costs more than it returns. The evaluation says what to watch for, and when to come back.
You do not need the whole project in house to change your position. The evaluation names the single item to get back first, and the exact sentence to ask for it.
Your case warrants a full check. The evaluation proposes a one hour session with the same engineer, scheduled within 72 hours, ending in a written list of what you own and what you do not, which stays yours whatever you decide.
Why we turn cases down
The people who read these answers are the same people who design and maintain devices for our clients. Their time is the scarce resource in this company, which is the plain reason we cannot run an assessment for everyone who asks.
The consequence works in your favour. We propose work only where we expect to make a difference you can measure, and we say so in writing when we do not. A meaningful share of these evaluations conclude that nothing needs to change right now, and we send them anyway, because a recommendation we cannot defend is worth nothing to either side.
The evaluation comes from a company domain, so check the spam folder if nothing appears within 24 working hours. If something changed since you answered, or there is context that did not fit two questions, reply to the confirmation email: it reaches the engineer reading your case, and it makes the evaluation sharper.
